Little boxes on the hillside
Little boxes made of ticky tacky
Little boxes on the hillside and they all look just the same

 - Malvina Reynolds, "Little Boxes," 1963

Like the small rural industrial towns before it, American suburbia is going stale. What was once a nourishing environment full of prospect has been found out to be as vacant as the promise it once offered. Children abandon their baby boomer parents for greener pastures, and nobody is left to sow next season's proverbial wheat.

A lack of finesse goes unnoticed when repeated. If the flaw is in the designer's plan, then it is flawless. Disrepair, or God's intention? Rot, or entropy?
