I do love my ma and pa
Not that way that I do love you
...
Man, oh man, you're my best friend
I scream it to the nothingness
There ain't nothing that I need

Well, hot and heavy, pumpkin pie
Chocolate candy, Jesus Christ
Ain't nothing please me more than you

Oh, home, let me come home
Home is wherever I'm with you
Oh, home, let me come home
Home is wherever I'm with you"

- Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, “Home,” 2009

This balloon in this piece is filled with helium; meaning that the piece is affected by heat, air, static, and human interaction. The more movement that the balloon experiences, the more tension is put on the nest, causing it to deteriorate over the course of the installation.
